Pattern People: Print styles for SS 2017

When researching print styles for Spring 2017, I was reminded of the hand of French painter, Raoul Dufy. Active in the early part of the last century through the 1950s, his textiles designs exhibit a flowing brush style perfect for a breezy summer day. His paintings often capture scenes of the French Riviera with hints of pattern dabbled here and there. Don’t you love the palm trees? I’d love a print made with them. – Jessie Whipple Vickery
