PRADA - Spring/Summer Show 2018 in Milan

Designer : Miuccia Prada Atmosphere: Always a researched and arty set at Prada. This time, the house invited eight artists from around the world to draw the woman on their walls, all adding to the work of Tarpé Mills, a committed illustrator who created the first female super hero, Miss Fury…. Strong drawings, with a comic strip style for the new Spring/Summer 2018 collection whilst at the same time rigorous and pop. Collection: a wink at the masculine style, with high-waisted shorts, largely loose, worn under masculine shirts and jumpers without sleeves. Unless one chooses the large jackets and coats with the traits of paintings or covered with drawings. Yet femininity is there, the look is precise, chic, and elegant. Leopard and zebra prints appear, as do embroidered flowers and sequins, to soften everything. A pop/new wave spirit isn’t far away with huge blue or red stripes seen on many shorts, or the studs on the jackets and shirts. To note: The number of drawings which illustrate the jackets, shirts, long dresses and the coats, adding enormous depth and originality to the designs, without forgetting the accessories with a favourite being the ‘banana’ earrings.
