GUY LAROCHE - Women's ready to wear show Spring/Summer 2018 in Paris (with interview)

Artistic director: Richard RenéAtmosphere: In the rooms of the boutique, a few steps from the Avenue Montaigne, Richard René delivers his first collection for Guy Laroche with an homage to Mireille Darc, the actress who died a few month ago and who was a great friend of the founder. Collection: Essentially based around black and white. Elegant ensembles, with graphic lines. A play on the straps, on asymmetry, draping and backless garments, the distorted sleeves which resemble wings highlight the arms. To note: The elegance of a simple black, belted coat, of a simple white camisole again backless, with a short skirt, made famous by Mireillie Darc, reinvented by Richard René. Interview with Richard René:It’s Mireille Darc because he style, it’s Guy Laroche. The udder, the over, there’s lingerie, all these opposites which attract each other, the round, the square… I really wanted to attract opposites and make it like that, something of a modernist somewhere.
