Artistic Director: David KomaAtmosphere: Red light under the vaults of the Maritime museum in Paris, for this new sensual collection designed by David Koma and inspired by the film 'Les Pétroleuses' which starred Brigitte Bardot and Claudia Cardinale. Collection: A strong silhouette with an exaggerated waist by way of belts and corsets, worn on top of high waited ski pants. Denim and leather are edging textures, laces run the length of the legs, deeply plunging necklines. A combination of check and snake effect painted leather. Coloured vestal dresses add softness. To note: Sexy swimsuits+ western inspired shoes and boots+ Natasha Poly and Jourdan Dunn on the catwalk. Interview with David KomaI think the starting point of the collection was one of the seventies movies ‘Les Pétroleuses’ which I love with Claudia Cardinale and Brigitte Bardot who set the mood for the girl of the season. She is so strong and rebellious but so sensual and feminine at the same time so I just wanted to explore that further. I started to look at corsetry which is such a huge part of the heritage of the house. That was the first embroidery section where it was inspired by snakeskin, it was multi-coloured patent leather cut into pieces and re-embroidered into little scales on the jersey which gives the feeling of a second skin. I wanted to embrace both sides of the woman the strength with the graphic silhouette but at the same time soft and feminine because the combination of the two makes me really, really excited.
