Best of London Fashion Week : creativity and experience at the heart of the collections

access_time 00:02:08

London keeps its creative reputation at fashion week, led by young enthusiastic designers and their incredible energy, like mary katrantzou and her kaleidoscope prints, gareth pugh and his theatrical clothes or house of holland with his summery mood.of course not forgetting jonathan anderson, the most followed designer of this fashion week, creating excitement and showing on the day of his 32nd. another memorable moment : the versus show, who didn’t miss out this energy either, despite the departure of anthony vaccarello, his artistic director, who left for saint laurent. donatella versace, alone in command, succeeded to present a young, lively and rock collection, with bella hadid as a star guest another day, another ambiance with mulberry and his creative director who brought us to south london, in an old printing factory about to be destroyed. the two big ones, unique top shop and burberry had of course created a buzz by adopting the concept “see now buy now”. a pop up shop for topshop directly on the show. and a totally new experience was created for burberry. with this incredible location, makers house, in the heart of soho in london, where artists and craftsmen are celebrated, with a live orchestra and a show which mixed the past, present and the future. also a first for the iconic house which presented the female and male at the same time, and of course, with the entire collection available straight after the show, in boutiques and on their e shop. it was a way for burberry to keep one step ahead. the revolution has really begun, and the first pieces, especially the most exceptional and luxurious, were out of stock the next day (music free : bandit & nikit)interviews tim blanks he is quite unique because he has this point of view which is totally unrooted in any particular moment he just skates across a whole century of reference points johnny coca compared to the concept of the collection which was linked to all the workers and school uniforms, i think that there was also a side which presented an equal balance between the product, the universe, the codes and the contrasts between this completely rustic place and these quite magical silhouettes.
