Artistic director : maria grazia chiuriatmosphere : in the gardens of the rodin museum in paris, a stone structure, on which is inscribed a quote by niki saint phalle, welcoming the guests, “life is a game of cards, we are born without knowing the rules”. collection: a collection which is inspired by the artist niki de saint phalle and which equally references marc bohan with small dresses and jumpsuits worn with loose skirts that are open at the front. there are references to the sixties with optical motifs, polka dots, black and white check and small pinafore dresses with mosaic mirrors. to note: the flat fishnet boots which climb up the leg, the dragon which sits on top of mesh, skirts adorned with hearts, the leather jumpsuit with hints of colour. the flat hat which is added to the beret of last season. interviews :natalia vodianova:of course i adore what maria grazia does, i also love how she used the brand to send a message, i think it’s great for the brand, and she wrote a testimony for what the brand stands for, it stands for empowering women and now everyone associates dior with that and i think that’s wonderful for the business as well as for women.maria grazia chiuri:in july i found this image in the archives with niki de sainte phalle, all dior dressed in morocco, and a letter where she wrote to marc bohan because she was a very close friend to marc bohan.naomi watts modern, classic, edgy, strong, strong women’s clothing, i’m always a fan. fantastic lines. eva herzigova it’s elegance done very simply. for me the collections of maria grazia are very very chic, very beautiful, very subtle, with colours, lines, small details, i really love it. jean-charles de castelbajacmaria grazia has a real feminine talent, which is absolutely incredible. i follow her work, her evolution, and she writes it all with poetry, but a strong poetry with the lines of dior, and that is really very beautiful. sidney toledanoit’s a brand that lives permanently in creativity, with its codes, its values, but which needs innovation at each moment and that’s why when asked if we address the young people of today, we do not address ourselves, we must stay permanently young, while respecting the values of quality and excellence. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
