The end of summer and the arrival of September also come with the start of the fashion weeks as regards the ready-to-wear women’s shows for summer 2019. Here are the main events that are not to be missed. Starting with New York that will launch the season, celebrating 50 years of the Ralph Lauren fashion house with a show in Central Park that promises to be spectacular… the French brand Longchamp chose Kendall Jenner as their muse and will celebrate their 70 years in New York with a first show. We will also celebrate the return of well-loved designers, Proenza Schouler and Rodarte as well as the first collection signed by Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera. Something that will cause a stir is certainly Rhianna who is closing New York fashion week with a show for her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty. In London we will celebrate 10 years of the Victoria Beckham brand, the designer has chosen to come back and show in the UK capital for the occasion. Another very eagerly awaited moment is the first Burberry collection signed by Riccardo Tisci. To note: the Alexa Chung show, the ‘it girl’ who created a brand has also chosen to present her new collection during fashion week. In Milan next to the big Italian fashion houses like Versace, Prada and Armani, the brand making headlines is Fila. The sportswear label celebrates its comeback with a show event. Finally, Paris will close fashion month with two exclusive moments. First, the Italian fashion house Gucci has left Milan to come and show in Paris right from the first day and then the first Celine collection signed Hedi Slimane with the first bag deservedly revealed by the star Lady Gaga.
