Designer : giambattista valliinspiration/collection: two new chapters for valli’s ready to wear collection divided into 2 acts. firstly, yoko ono and her white suit, reinterpreted by the first model that opens the show. we see a lot of white and ivory, through various dresses and a jumpsuit. a kind of purity and minimalism.a touch of rock with a trouser studded at the edge and another in velvet leopard print.a reading by the designer of “the scent of india” by pier paolo pasolini opens the second part of the show which brings colour and embroideries even on small jackets.numerous proposals of gowns remind us of valli’s romantic spirit.note: different styles of flat shoes with feathers and fastening details + john lennon & yoko ono as the sound track.interview with giambattista valli:it's like a fashion show with the first act and the second act, and the first part was really the idea of getting out of a woman's mind and it was yoko ono's; and so the first outfit shown represents yoko ono’s very symbolic suit. this ivory, these textures, there is a certain minimalism in the volume of these dresses.and little by little, there is an imaginary journey, because in fact i was in india, in the middle of reading pasolini's book "the smell of india", and i was listening to yoko ono at the same time and that's when the idea came to me : i thought it's sublime to do this story, starting with yoko ono, i study her, i go through her wardrobe, and i worked on this wardrobe as it is, it is not india, it is not folk, i wanted this wardrobe to only have the smell of india.fashion can be full of things, i love to work with this idea of beauty, and to not be ashamed to work in beauty, i love working in beauty.music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
