The marathon fashion month always begins in New York, a whole week filled with shows, from big names to more discrete shows from new fashionable designers.Let’s start with the most extraordinary.Longchamp renews their presence for the second time in New York with a very envied front row with Kate Moss and Kendall Jenner both already wearing the collection being modelled.Another personality who caused a buzz: Mickey Rourke at Philipp Plein, who played a model during a spectacular show-dinner.New York made us live through incredible mornings with two shows in two completely different ambiances. For Ralph Lauren, it was a meeting at Ralph’s Coffee for breakfast with chic and elegant women. Whilst Michael Kors immersed us into a disco atmosphere from 10 in the morning with a collection reflecting the 70s, and an astonishing finale in the presence of Barry Manilow singing his hit song “Copacabana”.In terms of trends, the new version of suit trousers is proposed in nearly all shows. We fall for Tom Ford’s ultimate luxury with warm colours, as well as Brandon Maxwell’s with his allure using cropped tops, without forgetting Proenza Schouler’s very studied look. Just as attractive is Self-Portrait’s urban version, Tibi’s fluid version or Zimmermann’s adventurer style. Various choices depending on what you desire but as always very stylish. Finally, the spotlight is on the new generation that is already being talked about. From the one of a kind Laquan Smith who is followed by a horde of delirious fans, to the poetic Carolina Hu, passing through the 2 fashionable brands Luar and Area, these new talents shake the codes and emit a great energy to this New York Fashion Week in search of a new identity.
