Designer: giambattista valliinspiration: a free woman, who goes through the ages and who, for this season, leaves the museum of decorative arts (mad) in paris, to go to the gardens.collection: little floaty dresses with puffed sleeves, as if they are filled with air, making the whole outfit lighter. flowers decorate the clothes, or are printed in the background. lace and sequins add a glamourous and luminous touch, arabesque textures like pure white lace and crochet bras and bra tops are adorned with precious pieces.explosions of colours such as yellow and coral appear on the evening sheath dresses.to note: the cloche hats and large jewellery, with necklaces made of rope. the makeup consists of petals or flowers around the eyes. interview with giambattista valli:this is a fairly new story, it’s the story of this girl who lives in this apartment where we did the fashion show and in fact she has this passion for her garden. that’s why we did our show here, there is this idea of air. in fact, there is this whole story of gardens and extraordinary women, this idea of getting away from the ordinary and not belonging to any identity group but having a very personal identity and having this passion for the aesthetics of gardens. for me, it’s important to support the weight of lightness, it’s something that’s essential. today, we are bombarded with heavy news stories and there is always this speculation about the oppressive nature of the news. so, i wanted to give something different, i wanted to give the other side which means not being superficial and which is also about enjoying life. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
